Excited!

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Next week, Marc and I are off to Florida to see his family. It will be so nice for me to meet them all at last! I have known Marc for a long time but never really met his family properly. We’ll also be seeing my cousin, Connie, who I have also never met in person, but I speak to regularly.

It will be a nice trip, and a lot warmer than it is here in Oklahoma right now. Today isn’t too bad though, as when it is sunny here it is generally nice and warm (unlike England!). Plus, Marc and I will be getting married while we are there! His Grandparents and parents have been planning the wedding, so we both have no clue as to what it is going to be like. It’ll be a nice surprise for us both!

Holly the kitty will be going to stay with our friends and their kitty called Bella. They get on well when they aren’t growling or hissing at each other…. Which is actually most of the time. I feel sorry for our friends having to control two crazy kitties!  Holly is a very smelly kitty lately, too, but we’re going to spare them that information. :)

So right now we’re getting ready for our trip, and are both excited about out wedding!

5 days to Christmas!

This is going to be the very first Christmas that Marc and I get to spend together! It’s very exciting and we’re both very happy and grateful that we will be able to be together! We have a little Christmas tree for the apartment, thanks to Marc’s Grandma, and it looks wonderful (well, right now it needs some help… Kitty knocked it over…), and a singing Santa. It’ll be hilarious when we get some batteries for him.

Back in England, where I come from, it’s been snowing. I miss snow, and wish it would snow here! My Grandparents are hibernating because the road outside has got all iced up. It would be kind of dangerous to drive on it, or even to walk on the path. Over here though, it’s actually rather warm, so I doubt we’ll be getting any of that snow. It’s probably a good thing, as there are far too many car accidents as it is around here.

Holly, our kitty, has been really hyper today! She’s been rushing around knocking things over, and playing with everything in sight (including shoes!). When we got her, we were looking after our friends cat and they played together and kept each other company. Now that kitty has gone back home, and I think Holly is a little bit bored with out her.
